Manufacturing

With more than 20 years of experience creating hand painted tiles, I have continued to develop and evolve my painting process over the years.

The linework is wax resist, using technique called cuerda seca, which holds the lines and keeps the colors separate during the firing process.

Other techniques used are clip train and majolica.

The tiles are then fired to 1850 degrees Fahrenheit in an electric kiln.

The tiles are weatherproof and can be used as trivets or may be set directly and permanently into interior or exterior walls.
